You’re raring to go. Hmm… and starting to realise that the ‘boring stuff’ is quite important and you’re not quite sure where to start.

Whether you’re looking to keep things very personal to you and keep well away from ‘systems’ or whether you want clear tools available to make life easier, there’s bound to be some stuff you’re reluctant to address.

Sometimes you may be unaware there’s some boring but critical admin which can halt the business in its tracks!

What? For a start, monitoring your business performance; looking after supplier payments and getting the VAT, HMRC and company returns in on time. As a food business there are also of course some basic Environmental Health requirements to be met.

On the whole, these things are not complicated, but if you don’t know about them then they can easily be missed and cause problems down the line.

As a franchisor, systems and management are hugely important to what Beatons does. We now have years of experience in knowing what needs to be done and how best to do it.

Importantly, this is all based on actual experience in setting up and operating businesses similar to yours, and the real needs of businesses in our sector .

What you’ll get

Our initial meeting will review the key areas of your business which the team and I know to be important. Then we can identify options in each which are potentially most useful for you.

These might include things relating to early stages. Establishing a company and VAT registration; business registration generally or setting up payroll through to more ‘day to day’ things such as a Sequence of Service; EPOS till systems; rostering systems; accounting / bookeeping etc.

The list can seem overwhelming, until you discover there are usually preexisting solutions perfect for your business. We’ve probably found the needle in the haystack already!

Naturally, Food Hygiene is a key area in itself. Whether you want to set up your own system or use the EHO templates, we’ll be able to direct you what’s most appropriate for your business.

You’ll be left with an actionable summary report of the recommendations to inform your own decisions going forward.
